What it is

A quiet, ancient technology.

Reiki is a Japanese practice for restoring balance to the body, mind, and spirit — administered through gentle, hands-on and hands-hovering contact. The word itself is two syllables: rei, universal wisdom, and ki, life force.

It is simple, natural, and safe. It is not a religion and asks nothing of your beliefs. It works whether or not you believe in it. It is amazingly simple for anyone to learn — and, quietly, life-changing to live with.

Why learn Reiki

Not a certification. A relationship with your own aliveness.

Unlock your healing potential

Consistently access your body's natural capacity to restore itself.

Reiki is not an activity — it's a way of life

A daily practice that meets you in the ordinary until the ordinary transforms.

A union of two paradigms

Self-empowerment and connection to something larger than yourself — held together.

An intimate partnership with your own spirit

Reiki is a practice of listening — to the body, to the field, to what is quietly true.

Greater access to flow

Use this life force energy for yourself and share it — quietly, generously — with others.

The path

Three initiations, taken in your own time.

Each level opens what the last one prepared you for. There is no rush. Most students sit with Level I for months, sometimes years, before the pull toward the next arrives.

Why I teach this

I found Reiki when I was frazzled and exhausted.

I was in the middle of a very long divorce. Yoga and meditation had carried me for years, and suddenly they weren't enough. Someone mentioned Reiki could help restore my energy, make me feel clearer, calmer. I was in.

I didn't know then that I was walking toward a lineage that would reshape how I lived — how I ate, how I slept, how I met other people, how I met myself. Reiki didn't fix me. It reminded me of a pattern I already was.

That's what I teach now. Not a technique to add to your résumé. A practice you carry, quietly, for the rest of your life.

P.S. The energy has always been yours. This is just the practice of remembering how to let it move.
